• Council President James A. Klein's memo to members: policy priorities will need to overcome partisan conflict

American Benefits Council members: A great deal has already been said about the 2016 election and much more will be in the days and weeks ahead. But in the interest of saying something new, I want to share with you a few political and policy observations that I think have gotten little or no attention.

To read the full memo, see the Council's news release.

  • Employers, labor groups unite to oppose 40% tax on health benefits

The American Benefits Council and a diverse group of public and private sector employers, unions and other organizations have launched The Alliance to Fight the 40, a coalition to repeal the 40 percent tax on health benefits, the so-called "Cadillac tax."

For more information on the 40 percent tax on health benefits, visit the Alliance to Fight the 40's website at www.fightthe40.org or follow us on Twitter @Fightthe40.
